ABOUT THE FRINGE
Ledbury Fringe is a summer music festival now in its 10th year. Run for the benefit of the entire town, and typically free to all. We work in conjunction with local musicians and venues, and advertise their events during 'The Fringe Festival' in the Fringe brochure and on social media.
We'll have a Fringe Hub during the Fringe week, as a drop-in location holding information about what’s going on - we are very grateful to Forrest Optical Styling Studio in The Homend, for its support as the Fringe Hub. We also facilitate buskers at our 'Busk Stops' around the town, not limited to the period of the Fringe.
We continue to get support from venues and artists evidenced by 'likes' and numerous followers on our Facebook page.
Another surprise for this year is that Herefordshire brewer, Golden Wake Brewing in Hereford is planning a "Ledbury Fringe Ale" especially for the week. See if you can find yourself a glass of this celebratory brew while you enjoy the music.
Because The Fringe is the week after the Poetry Festival we are able to use venues such as the Market Theatre, where last year, we had a full house for Deborah Bonham Band on their second appearance at the Fringe. This year we have Jam tribute: A Band Called Malice and Steely Dan tribute: The Fezz. Hope you enjoy.
Finally, not least, we are very grateful to Ledbury Town Council for its massive support in making the Fringe Festival possible. We hope that everyone will join in and enjoy something of the Fringe. Lots of love and thanks to all who get involved. Have a happy week!
